Macular Degeneration

Macular Degeneration

Age-Related Macular Degeneration is the most common cause of vision loss in our aging population. With appropriate evaluation and treatment, we are able to prevent severe vision loss in the vast majority of patients.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetes Mellitus causes gradual damage to our body's blood vessels. This is especially pronounced in the retina and can cause blindness. If you have signs of diabetic eye disease, you may need to be evaluated by a Retina Specialist.

Retinal Detachment

Retinal Detachment

A retinal detachment can result from trauma or systemic conditions, but usually occurs spontaneously in middle-aged adults. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are the keys to prevent permanent vision loss.

Retinal Tear

Retinal Tear

A precursor to retinal detachment, a retinal tear or hole is usually spontaneous. An in-office laser treatment is often indicated to prevent serious complications.
